Biography

Joseph ("Joe") Slawek was born in Philadelphia and raised in South Florida. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Economics from Florida State University and his Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University College of Law in Miami.

Before attending !aw school, Joe worked as an accountant for a property and asset management firm. During law school, he interned with both a private immigration firm and a nonprofit organization, where he assisted in asylum and removal defense matters.

Joe began his legal career handling civil and personal injury cases, where he secured favorable verdicts at trial. He went on to represent medical providers ln personal injury protection (PIP) litigation before joining a major insurance carrier as in-house trial counsel. There, he focused on bodily injury and PIP defense, specializing in the interpretation and application of automobile insurance policies.

His current practice focuses on insurance defense matters, including trucking and automobile liability, third-party property claims, and general liability. He is admitted to practice law in the State of Florida.
